Hand-stitched blouse - "Tree of Life" motif

We love this borangic silk blouse pattern inspired by old traditional patterns. The stitches on the blouse are handmade with black thread and combinations of small golden beads. It is tied at the neck with a cotton cord with handmade fringes. The sleeve has a fine cut, accentuated by the seams with black thread.

The silk borang is a fabric made in Romania from 100% robust spun natural silk threads and has an unpretentious and rustic appearance, like in grandma's time. It has a rich texture with robust threads with slight thickenings due to the spinning of the silk donuts. A cloth created to be worn close to the skin, being extremely comfortable, with a matte texture.

The stitch pattern on the blouse represents the "Tree of Life". In Romanian popular belief, the motif known as the "Tree of Life" has ancient origins and an important role in significant moments in people's lives. He has various powers: symbol of happiness, friend and defender of the house, of people and animals, of crops. His power increases with the coming of spring. Just like a man's life, he has four seasons: spring - childhood, summer - youth, autumn - maturity, winter - old age.

I wore it mainly to special events. It is a collection piece that can be worn with a pair of pants or skirts and modern shoes or shoes.
