International IEI Day – celebrated as an interweaving of Art, Culture and Traditions

The Day of Sânziene finds us this year more vulnerable, more fearful, but at the same time more eager to live every moment with due intensity. On June 24th we celebrate International Ia Day, for the seventh year in a row, and despite the social distancing, we thought not to leave this special day without marking the appropriate moment. Yes, on June 24 we are starting a contest together with Bucharest MALL, on the Instagram page of our collaborators.

June 24, an interweaving between Art, Culture and Traditions

2020 is a year where we reconsider everything that really matters, remember what our values are and what defines us and makes us happy. If until yesterday, foreign lands were more attractive for spending the holidays, now we are rediscovering the national play and capitalizing more on Romania, with all the beauties it offers us.

Artists have their own way of celebrating culture, that's why a team led by ballerina Alice Minoiu, together with designer Izabela Măndoiu, created a special photo session. main theme, Art on the New Stage is an Ars Gratis Regalia project, which aims to present the ritual of the streets through an artistic dance, performed with the special grace of the ballerinas.

The scene was chosen in a natural setting, in the Secăria commune, in order for the story to be played to be authentic. Ballerinas Alice Minoiu, Raluca Jercea and Rebecca Rudolf dressed the Romanians, sewn by the women of the village, who know and still practice the art of hand sewing and weaving in the loom or at war.

Ielelor dance in traditional Romanian ii

In case you're wondering what ballet flats have in common with ballerinas, the answer lies in the ability to do one thing flawlessly. Just as the eels did not fail to catch people in their nets, so do the ballerinas, they have the power to charm the viewer with their grace and their choreographic dance.

We don't know for sure if the angels wore clothes or not, but we think that the image of them in diaphanous clothing better complements the imagery of the story. And in the photos presented, both the femininity and the graceful movements of the Sânziens are highlighted, but especially the beauty of the Romanian women, which completes the aesthetics of the land in Secăria commune. The traditions were born in the village and it is the role of those who respect and appreciate the Romanian culture, to transpose it in related areas, to sensitize and excite the widest possible audience.
