I divide them into 4 distinct categories.

Midi coats (two slouchy gray models, a third black, with a simple cut and embroidered back) and quilted shorts with oversized collars (in navy, dark pink, black) are the kind of outerwear that will be worn over daily wear, from November to the end of March.

Extra-long coats, with a romantic cape-like line and made of 100% wool fabric, are required for evenings when your outfit includes an equally long dress, extra-large velvet trousers or a full skirt with a floor-sweeping hem. In addition to the classic black , the same model is available in a bright shade of emerald green, with the embroidery on the back representing the Tree of Life, a symbol taken from Romanian folklore.

Four stylish and practical vests - two short and colorful (emerald green and pink) fur trim vests and two long vests - are possible layering pieces. The first two can be a splash of color over all-black outfits, and the others add thermal comfort on a cold winter day.

Finally, two cream-white coats , both also made of 100% wool fabric . Pretentious and refined in color, on any day they will stand out in a sea of ​​gray and black coats. But I'd save them for a special occasion, maybe even your wedding day, if you're getting married this winter.

Day dresses

The dresses in this collection stay true to the aesthetic that Izabela is known for. Beautiful in their simplicity, with cuts close to the body or derived from the shirt dress, always midi length, declined in a few key colors. I noted with pleasure the three shirt dresses (in black, emerald green and dark blue, each with embroidery on the chest ), but I was impressed by the two dresses (one red, one black) with an asymmetrical neckline and puffed sleeves. Maybe it's the way the neckline contrasts with the delicacy of the skin and the revealed collarbone , maybe it's the way the puff sleeve enriches the simplicity of the dress' outline... I don't know what it is, but this model is in the top 3 of my favorite pieces from the collection.

It's a category rarely found in designer collections , but you know these pieces when you see them. I include the daytime midi skirts, the gray wide-leg wool trousers and the white organza blouse with embroidered sleeves. They are the kind of seemingly simple and neutral pieces, enhanced by a design element (pleats, embroidery, a well-placed front slit). Their quality is revealed depending on how you match them: the trousers with some black patent leather shoes with thick soles, the white skirt with a black leggings and a solid gold necklace, the organza blouse with jeans and a velvet jacket... Add more here the wide leg black viscose trousers which are pure elegance and will look fantastic paired with a cropped Chanel style cardigan.

Occasion dresses & skirts

I have left this category at the end, because here I have selected what you can consider "long-term investments" . It's about pieces for the festive wardrobe . Of course they are to be treasured for the Holidays, but think of them as pieces for any formal event that will appear on the family calendar from now on, in any season: birthdays, business galas, formal dinners, baptisms, birthday parties graduation, anniversaries and of course civil and religious ceremonies.

If you're looking for a romantic dress that appeals with sparkle and color, my recommendation is to choose one of the three princess midi models - fuchsia pink, rose and rosewood pink -, whose cut suits all silhouettes and ages.

For those of you who prefer a low-key look, my suggestion is to go for a black dress. The Little Black Dress, which doesn't necessarily have to be "little"! The long taffeta one with embroidered sleeves is spectacular without being ostentatious, and is the most comfortable solution for a special evening. The midi, with cut-out shoulders and a full skirt, can even be worn to a company party, and I'd pair it with silver platform sandals to break out of the box. And my favorite, although it's not a dress, is the black maxi skirt, the waist of which is fastened with velvet laces. For me it's the most versatile casual piece, which I can see worn with a fur cape, and a leather jacket, and a cashmere sweater, and a simple white t-shirt.

Finally, some white dresses made their place in Izabela Mandoiu's cold season collection . Delicate, romantic and ultra-feminine, they are for this winter's brides. Once the jewelry accessorizing is complete, all they need is a winter bouquet, where roses, lisianthus, and ivory anemones nestle among fir sprigs, wax flowers, and eucalyptus leaves.
